Features

Everything the AI looks at when it reviews your trades.

From messy broker exports to a measurable read on your discipline — every feature is built around one idea: judge the process, not the P&L.

Getting your trades in

Broker CSV import

Import CSV exports from most UK and US brokers. Handles complete-trade rows (entry and exit in one row) and ledger-style files, where individual buy/sell transactions are paired back into round-trip trades automatically.

MetaTrader 4 & 5 statements

Export your MT4 or MT5 account history as a report and upload the .htm, .html or .xlsx file as-is — no reformatting. Your stop and target import with each trade, deposits and other cash entries are skipped, open positions are flagged separately, and lot sizes are converted so the P&L matches what MetaTrader shows you.

AI-assisted file parsing

Statement in an awkward format? Switch on "Use AI to process upload" and the AI extracts closed trades from CSV, Excel (.xlsx/.xls), HTML, or PDF broker statements — falling back to the rule-based parser if needed.

Manual entry & example analyses

Enter trades one at a time in a simple table, download a pre-formatted CSV template, or browse the example gallery — six pre-analysed trades and two basket post-mortems — before uploading anything of your own.

Unclosed position handling

Open positions in your export aren't silently dropped. Each one is flagged so you can add the closing price and date inline, or exclude it from the batch.

The analysis

Good / OK / Bad rating + process score

Every trade gets a rating and a 0–100 process score based on decision quality, not outcome. A disciplined loss with a respected stop can score 85; a lucky win on an oversized impulse entry gets flagged as Bad.

Two tones, one analysis

Professional mode delivers structured, metric-led feedback with action points. Roast Me delivers the same findings blunt and funny — every jab citing a real instrument, date, price, or pattern from your data.

Seven behavioural patterns

Panic sells, FOMO buys, revenge trading, holding losers, cutting winners, oversized positions, and unplanned averaging down — detected per trade and grounded against the actual price path around your entry and exit.

Your plan vs. what you did

Optionally record your stop, target, and the reason you took each trade. The AI computes your risk and realised R-multiple, then grades how well you stuck to your own plan — not an invented one.

Counterfactuals that do the maths

For OK and Bad trades, Professional mode spells out why it went wrong, what you could have done instead (with a specific price level), what that alternative was worth, and the principle to carry into the next trade.

Historical market context

The AI researches what the market was doing on your trade dates — earnings, CPI releases, central bank decisions, index moves — and benchmarks your basket P&L against the S&P 500 or FTSE 100 over the same period.

Seeing the bigger picture

Basket analysis

Group any trades from your library into a basket and the AI compares them against each other, surfacing recurring habits plus 2–3 prioritised fixes with how often each occurred and the estimated P&L impact. One credit per basket, however many trades you include.

Trade Quality Matrix

Every scored trade plotted on a process-versus-outcome grid: Disciplined Winners, Statistical Casualties (good process, bad luck), Lucky Fools (bad process, good luck), and Account Destroyers.

Exit quality, measured

Using historical daily prices, each trade gets its maximum favourable and adverse excursion (MFE/MAE) and a capture ratio — the share of the best available move you actually banked. "Left money on the table" becomes a number.

Risk metrics dashboard

Win rate, expectancy (your expected P&L per trade, in currency and in R), average risk-to-reward, largest loss, and max consecutive losses — computed across your whole library, alongside a P&L-by-market chart.

Your Trading Archetype

Once five or more trades are analysed, your dominant patterns roll up into a persona — The Paper Hands, The Revenge Addict, The Peak Buyer, The Bag Holder, The Averager, or The Disciplined One — with a discipline score and one rule to break the habit.

Shareable result cards

Any trade, basket, or archetype result can be turned into a branded 1080×1080 card in one tap — shared straight from your phone or downloaded as a PNG.

Review, not advice

Roast My Trades reviews the quality of decisions you already made. It never recommends what to buy, when to enter, or what to hold.

Minimal data leaves your account

Only ticker symbols and trade dates are sent for market-context research. Your trade data is never sold, shared, or used to train AI models.
